The War of 1812: Collection of Papers, 1792-1876, consist primarily of accounts between the United States and various military paymasters, 1812-1815, mostly signed by Lieut. David Clendenin, paymaster, Poland, Ohio. Includes correspondence, regimental orders, muster, regiment, and pay rolls, newspaper clippings, and lists of soldiers in various companies (including rolls of 18 companies stationed in Massachusetts and a roll of Vermont militiamen).
This collection will be useful to researchers studying the War of 1812 and the activities of the Ohio militia during that war.
