The Alfred Wolcott Field Notes and Surveys, 1799-1817, consist of notes, surveys, and maps of land in Ashtabula, Batavia, Braceville, Brecksville, Chardon, Coitsville, Concord, Ellsworth, Fowler, Guilford, Howland, Leffingwell, Liberty, Liverpool, Monroe, Newbury, Newton, Parkman, Ravenna, Richfield, Southington, and York, Ohio. Most of these surveys of land located in the Western Reserve were made by Wolcott for General Simon Perkins.
This collection will be useful to researchers studying the early history and land surveys of the Western Reserve in Ohio in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. Those interested in the surveys done by Alfred Wolcott on behalf of Simon Perkins will find this collection useful.
