The Wallace Hugh Cathcart Papers, 1910-1921, consist of correspondence, official programs and badges and related publicity material concerning the Cuyahoga County Centennial celebration of 1910, including typescript copies of speeches given at dedicatory events and poems submitted about the county. Also included are reports and correspondence by William Farrand Felch, executive secretary of the Historical Commission of Ohio (1919-1921), concerning the demise of the Commission's collection, 1920-1921. The collection also contains newspaper clippings and miscellaneous research notes and memoranda compiled by Cathcart pertaining to various explorers and explorations of North America.
This collection will be useful to researchers studying the Cuyahoga County Centennial celebration of 1910 and the activities of Wallace Hugh Cathcart (1865-1942) for that event.
