The Edward E. Kelsey Record Books, 1857-1877 and undated, consist of pocket diaries (1857, 1862) containing brief accounts of the daily activities of Kelsey, of La Porte, Ohio, who served in the Ohio Volunteer Infantry, during the Civil War; account book (1874-77); and geometry notebook.
This collection will be useful to researchers studying the history of the American Civil War, the activities of the Ohio Volunteer Infantry, and the life of Edward E. Kelsey of LaPorte, Ohio.
