The Brierley Machine Company Records, 1915-1932 and undated, consist of an appraisal, blank letterhead, a cash receipts ledger, a certificate, correspondence, license agreements, mechanical drawings, mortgages, a payroll ledger, patent applications, photographs, receipts, a tax return, and a trial balance ledger.
This collection will be useful to researchers studying the history of business and industry in Cleveland, Ohio, in the first half of the twentieth century, particularly the machine tool industry and the Brierley Machine Company. The payroll ledger might be useful to genealogists and those studying wages and labor in the 1920s.
The collection is arranged alphabetically by document type and then chronologically.
