Gallagher (1909-1980) was a noted Cleveland, Ohio, labor leader from the 1930s through the 1970s. Gallagher was one of the organizers of the American Federation of Labor and served as its regional director for Ohio and Kentucky, 1949-1955. He then became regional director for Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia with the AFL-CIO, 1955-1974. The collection consists of a biographical sketch, correspondence, certificates of achievement, a copy of the program for Gallagher's retirement banquet, and newspaper clippings.
