It was located on West 25th Street near the West Side Market. The association consolidated its operations with the Second Savings and Loan Association in 1973 and became known as the Cardinal Federal Savings and Loan Association. Trinity United Church of Christ http://catalog.wrhs.org/collections/view?docId=ead/MS5235.xml Trinity Evangelical Church was established on the west side of Cleveland, Ohio, in 1911 after the Home Mission Board of the Ohio District of the Evangelical Church felt compelled to institute an English-speaking congregation because the children of German immigrants no longer understood German and disassociated themselves from German-speaking churches. Located at West 25th Street and Scranton Avenue, the church and its membership expanded rapidly in the decades that followed. The church joined the newly formed Church of Christ in 1963, and changed its name to Trinity United Church of Christ. Construction of a freeway physically divided the neighborhood in the 1960s, and membership numbers never recovered. The church closed in 2008 and its members joined nearby parishes within the United Church of Christ.
