Chapman, Gilbert Family http://catalog.wrhs.org/collections/view?docId=ead/MS4344.xml Gilbert Chapman (1811-1897) and his wife Jane were farmers in Ashtabula County, Ohio. Their Ward, Charles Warring, assumed ownership of their land upon the death of Gilbert in 1897 and served as an Ashtabula County assessor, 1904-1912. The collection consists of correspondence, 1834-1914, from friends and relatives, a copy of a family ledger of births and deaths, purchase receipts, billing statements, and advertising circulars for farm equipment.
