The exhibit was the result of a search for Cleveland's African American folk artists and the works created by them. It featured folk artists Peggy Davenport, Reverend Albert Wagner, Ruby Hall, Helen Dobbins, Jim Moss, Mickey Towns, Benjamin Collins, Perkine Lard, Marcella Welch, Nick Biggins, and J.D. Harmon.
