He and his wife, Ethel Berkmann, owned the Goodman and Company Furniture Store in Cleveland and were involved with the World Zionist Organization. Their son, Harvey Goodman, served in World War II in the United States Air Force. Their daughter, Alma, married into the Perla family, which operated an embroidery company. The collection consists of business and personal correspondence, photographs, postcards, licenses and miscellaneous documents.
