Lamb, Judson Paul http://catalog.wrhs.org/collections/view?docId=ead/MS4535.xml Judson Paul Lamb was a prominent Cleveland, Ohio, attorney who served as Law Director of the city of Cleveland during the administration of Mayor Fred Kohler, 1922-1923. He also served as chairman of a statewide committee that drafted the first uniform traffic code for Ohio. In his private law practice, he was involved in several important litigations, including the Cleveland Clinic fire disaster of 1929, in which he represented the victim's families. The collection consists of six scrapbooks containing newspaper clippings and correspondence. Most of the clippings relate to litigation against the East Ohio Gas Company rate increases, a recall effort against Mayor Fred Kohler, and the resignation of Lamb and other cabinet officials. Voinovich http://catalog.wrhs.org/collections/view?docId=ead/MS5048.xml George Victor Voinovich was born in 1936 and grew up on the east side of Cleveland, Ohio. He attended Ohio University for his undergraduate studies and received his law degree from Ohio State University in 1961. Following his marriage to Janet Allan in 1962, he established a law practice in his Collinwood neighborhood. He was elected to the Ohio House of Representatives in 1966, became Cuyahoga County Auditor in 1971, and was elected a Cuyahoga County commissioner in 1976. He also served one term as Lieutenant Governor under James A. Rhodes. Voinovich was elected mayor of the city of Cleveland in 1979 and served for ten years, restructuring the city's finances, promoting neighborhood revitalization, and supporting development of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, among other achievements. The National Civic League awarded the city of Cleveland the "All American City Award" three times during Voinovich's tenure. He was elected Governor of Ohio in 1990.
