 Abstract:  William Ellis Hunt (1833-1919) was a resident of Coshocton, Ohio, and author of "Historical collections of Coshocton County, Ohio: a complete panorama of the county, from the time of the earliest known occupants of the territory unto the present time, 1764-1876," published in 1876. The collection consists of writings relating to early Presbyterian churches in Ohio. Includes histories of the Hopewell Church, Richland Presbytery; the Presbytery of Steubenville; early Ohio Presbyterian churches; and the Synod of Ohio; and letters (1859) to Hunt from T.R. Crawford concerning the Nottingham Church, Harrison Co., Ohio, and from Milo Templeton concerning a church in Marseilles, Wyandot Co., Ohio.
