 Abstract:  The collection consists of six holograph diaries, typescripts of the diaries, miscellaneous documents, and a portion of the history of St. Patrick's Church (Bridge Avenue), written by Manning, which describes life in Cleveland, Ohio, circa 1850 when the parish was founded. The diaries offer detailed descriptions of activities at Western Union, Catholic religious practices, and Irish groups in Cleveland.

 Abstract:  Ella Grant Wilson (1854-1939) was a Cleveland, Ohio, florist, publicist, journalist and author. She was founder of the Floral Syndicate, a publicity service which promoted conventions and other activities of interest to the floral industry and was garden editor of the Plain Dealer. Her series in the Sunday Plain Dealer, focusing on historic Cleveland led to her book, "Famous old Euclid Avenue", featuring anecdotes, history and biographies relating to the homes and personalities of "Millionaires' Row." The collection consists of correspondence, reminiscences, writings, and memorabilia relating to Wilson's life and family, the floral industry, her organizational affiliations, and her book. There are also some genealogical materials relating to the Grant family. The collection is particularly useful to the study of women in business, the floral industry in Cleveland and the Midwest, and the history of Cleveland.

 Abstract:  Frank Koryta, the son of Czech immigrants Josef and Barbara (Poskocil) Koryta, married Clara Stipek, descendant of Czech immigrant George Stipek. These families had settled in Cleveland, Ohio, in the 1870s. Several children of George John and Katherine (Wichert) Kundemueller married into these Czech American families. The Kundemueller family had come to Cleveland, Ohio from Bavaria in 1857 and the Wichert family had come from Silesia in 1873. The collection consists of correspondence, birth, marriage and death records, certificates, deeds, diaries, indexes, legal briefs, lists, newspaper clippings, newsletters, scrapbooks, surveys, tax records, naturalization documents, passports, journals, probate documents, publications, military discharge papers, memoirs, and wills.
