1Title:  Mount Vernon, a poem: being the seat of His Excellency George Washington, in the state of Virginia; lieutenant-general and commander in chief of the land forces of the United States of America. This rural, romantic and descriptive poem of the seat of so great a character, it is hoped may please, with a copper-plate likeness of the general. It was taken from an actual view on the spot by the author, 15th May, 1799. Also a cursory view of Georgetown, city of Washington, and the Capitol
