| | | Creator: | Wright, Elizur | | | Dates: | 1822-1843 | | | Abstract: | Elizur Wright, Jr. (1804-1885) was an abolitionist, and professor of mathematics and natural philosophy at Western Reserve College (Hudson, Ohio). Wright took part in the anti-slavery movement before the Civil War. His father came from Canaan, Connecticut, to Tallmadge, Ohio, in 1810, where he founded the Tallmadge Academy.
