 Abstract:  Frank J. Chapple was a London, Ontario, importer and wholesaler who married Nellie Lavine Wooldridge of Cleveland, Ohio, in 1889. He later moved to Cleveland and founded F.J. Chapple, General Insurance. The collection consists of correspondence of the Chapple and Wooldridge families, and diaries of Mrs. Chapple's niece, Alice Marie Mitchell Keetch. The correspondence includes descriptions of Europe by Mrs. Chapple and descriptions of Canada by Mr. Chapple's brother-in-law, James Rice. Many of Mrs. Keetch's diary entries (1940-1945) relate to World War II.
