The collection consists of letters and account statements (1825-1851) addressed to Kinsman and Adams from Douglas Putnam, land agent of Marietta, Ohio; letters (1804-1807) from Kinsman's brother, John Kinsman, founder of Kinsman, Ohio; and surveys of the land of Robert Kinsman.

The Jeremiah Kinsman and Rosewell Adams Papers, 1804-1851, consist of letters and account statements (1825-1851) addressed to Kinsman and Adams from Douglas Putnam, land agent of Marietta, Ohio; letters (1804-1807) from Kinsman's brother, John Kinsman, founder of Kinsman, Ohio; and surveys of the land of Robert Kinsman.
