Gleason F. Lewis was a banker and pension agent in Cleveland, Ohio. The collection consists of the record of work done in
securing pensions and land grants for veterans of all United States wars prior to the American Civil War by Lewis, of Cleveland,
Ohio. One volume consists of a general alphabetical index of all the volunteers who served in the Ohio Militia during the
War of 1812.
