Abstract: W. Burr Gongwer (1873-1948) was a Cleveland, Ohio, Democratic leader who served as secretary to Tom L. Johnson, was an ally of Newton D. Baker, and became chairman of the Cuyahoga County Democratic Central Committee in 1924. The collection consists of letters, newspaper clippings, and a diary of a trip to Europe, May-June, 1914.
