Abstract: | Anna Katherine Wasserman (1828-1904) emigrated from Germany to Bluestone (South Euclid), Ohio, in 1845 and married a German farmer named Schroeder. Her son, Edward Theodore, helped her work the family farm and served as grocer and postmaster of Bluestone. Another son, Christian, traveled to Montana in 1879. Her sister, Hattie Wasserman, married Cleveland hardware dealer George Klooz. The collection consists primarily of letters (in German script) to Anna Schroeder's son, Christian. Also included are letters from other Schroeder family members and from Anna's sister and brother-in-law, Hattie and George Klooz. |

The Anna Schroeder Family Papers, 1845-1967 and undated, bulk 1879-1901, consist of letters (in German script) to Anna Schroeder's son, Christian. Also included are letters from other Schroeder family members and from Anna's sister and brother-in-law, Hattie and George Klooz.
