Abstract: The Hermann Krebs Apothecary was founded in 1868 in Brooklyn, Ohio. The name was later changed to Hermann Krebs Pharmacy Company. The company moved several times before it closed in 1958. Its last location was at 2740 West 25th Street, SW, in Cleveland, Ohio. The collection consists of 500 prescriptions for medication, each signed by a physician, numbered, and marked "paid." Some also have the patient's name and others, particularly those from Dr. Henry Muller, are in German. Most are on pharmaceutical notepads with Kreb's letterhead, dated 1867 and 1868.

Scope and Content
