Pioneer Women was founded in 1925 under the name Pioneer Women's Organization of America, as a Labor Zionist organization
for women. As a sister organization to the Workingwomen's Council of the Histadrut (Jewish Federation of Labor) in Palestine,
it aimed at aiding women in Palestine. The first Cleveland, Ohio, Chapter was established in 1926, with an English-speaking
chapter following in 1934. In 1985 the organization changed its name to Na'amat U.S.A. The collection consists of minutes
of Chapter 2 (Cleveland, Ohio), bulletins, donor program books, and clippings.
