The Western Reserve Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution is the Cleveland, Ohio, chapter of the national patriotic
society, founded by Catharine Hitchcock Tilden Avery in 1891. The collection consists of minutes, reports of delegations
to the Continental Congress of the DAR, resolutions in honor of deceased members, notices of events, correspondence, addresses,
committee reports and reports of events of the Society of the Army of the Tennessee. Useful for those interested in the activities
of the Western Reserve Chapter during its early years. The collection reflects particularly the activity of Mrs. Charles H.
Smith, who was chapter historian during the early years.
