Biography of Margaret Manor Butler

Margaret Manor Butler (1898-1971), a resident of Lakewood, Ohio, was a local historian and author of several works including The Lakewood (Ohio) Story, Romance in Lakewood Streets, and A Pictorial History of the Western Reserve. The latter volume was published in cooperation with the Western Reserve Historical Society and the Early Settlers Association in 1963.

The Margaret Manor Butler Papers, 1963-1965, consist of one scrapbook, carbon copies, and drafts of the 1963 and 1965 publications of A Pictorial History of the Western Reserve.

This collection pertains largely to the process of compiling a pictorial history and to the history of the Western Reserve region of Ohio.
