Abstract: | Chester Jablonoski was a Cleveland, Ohio, area physician who helped to found Marymount Hospital in Garfield Heights, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland. The collection consists of Jablonoski's medical writings, correspondence, lists of staff members at hospitals, publications, notices of events, membership cards, and newspaper clippings. The collection pertains primarily to Jablonoski's medical career at Marymount Hospital. The collection may also be useful to those interested in Polish Americans in the Cleveland. |

Chester Jablonoski (1905-1975) was a medical doctor who was among the founders of Marymount Hospital in Garfield Heights, Ohio. Prominent in the medical profession in the Greater Cleveland area, he held the presidencies of both the Cleveland Academy of Medicine and the Board of Trustees of the Cuyahoga County Medical Foundation. Born in Pennsylvania, Jablonoski came to Cleveland as a teenager. The United States Aluminum Corporation offered to help him pay his tuition at Case Techinical Institute if he would train for a high position with them, but he persisted in his ambition to be a doctor and obtained his license to practice in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1935.
