History of the United States Custom House, Port of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The United States Custom House, Port of Philadelphia, (f. 1819) located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, served as a major Untied States port throughout the nineteenth century. Philadelphia had served as a port since its founding in 1682, but its custom house became the first tone to come under the control of the federal government in 1819.

The United States Custom House, Port of Philadelphia Records, 1793-1932, consist of records of ships and goods that passed through the port and a few records of other ports.
