This collection is valuable as a sketch of the life of Henry Dodge and for the information in contains on the Dodge family and related families. Since the Dodges were a prominent Cleveland family, the material also includes information on the social life of Cleveland's upper class during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Dodge's relating of his experiences in France during World War I is also of interest.
