Abstract: Julia McCune Flory (1882-1971), an author and book illustrator, traveled through North Africa in the 1920s with Dr. Gertrude E. Sturges and later wrote about her journey in hopes of publishing her experiences as a book entitled "On the Road to Kairowan." The collection consists of Flory's manuscript, postcards with notes, pen and ink illustrations for her book, travel publications, correspondence, and an itinerary for her North Africa trip.
