Windsor Club (f. 1927 or 1928) was an all-male social club in Cleveland, Ohio, that met at Council Educational Alliance and at members' homes. During the period from October 1937 through June 1939 members participated in a basketball team and in social events including New Year's Eve parties, stag parties prior to members' marriages, sleigh rides, and attendance at wrestling matches. They also sent gifts to members' new-born babies and loaned money to those members in need.
The Windsor Club Minute Book, 1937-1939, consists of minutes.
This collection will be of value to researchers interested in the growth and evolution of social settlements which originated in early twentieth century America to meet the needs of newly arrived immigrants. This collection will be of particular value to researchers interested in the history of Council Educational Alliance of Cleveland, Ohio, prior to its merger in 1948 with The Jewish Community Center of Cleveland.
