Scope and Content

The Ronald and Isabelle Brown Papers, Series II, 1911-2003 and undated, consist of biographical information on the family and miscellaneous correspondence and documents related to the Brown family's business and philanthropic activities, including Ronald Brown's work with the Juvenile Court and the Ohio Department on Aging.

Prominent in the collection are speeches, brochures, clippings, and notes related to Isabelle Brown's involvement in the National Council of Jewish Women and International Council of Jewish Women. There are two scrapbooks in the collection: one concerns Isabelle Brown's work with the International Council of Jewish Women in Australia and New Zealand in 1967, the other documents Ronald Brown's retirement from Tremco Manufacturing Company. This collection will be useful to researchers studying the history of the Jewish community in Cleveland, Ohio.
