Abstract: The Cleveland Manual Training School was incorporated in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1885 and opened in 1886 as part of the curriculum of the public school system there to provide technical and vocational training on the high school level. University School was founded in Cleveland in 1890 to provide the technical training its founders believed necessary to prepare young men to be industrial leaders; today it is a college preparatory school for boys. The collection consists of one photograph album depicting interior and exterior views of the buildings and facilities of the Cleveland Manual Training School and of University School, both of Cleveland, Ohio.
