Abstract: |
First Baptist Church of Greater Cleveland (Ohio) was the result of a merger in 1927 of the First Baptist Church of Cleveland
and the Cleveland Heights Baptist Church. The First Baptist Church of Cleveland was formally established in 1833. In 1919,
members who had moved east formed the Cleveland Heights church. In 1929, the combined congregations erected a new church building,
designed by Cleveland architects Walker and Weeks, at 3630 Fairmount Blvd. The collection consists of views of First Baptist
Church and a Bible class outing (1908) and a portrait of Dr. J. R. Owens.
