Abstract: |
Henry L. Zucker (1910-1998) was born in Cleveland, Ohio. A graduate of Glenville High School, Zucker graduated from Western
Reserve University in 1932 and then completed a master's degree from the university's School of Applied Social Sciences in
1935. He began his career as a social worker with local agencies and during World War II served as a special consultant in
Washington, D. C. In 1946 he began his long association with Cleveland's Jewish community when he accepted the position of
Associate Director of the Jewish Welfare Federation of Cleveland. When he retired in 1975 he had worked as Executive Director
(1948-1965) and Executive Vice President (1965-1975) of the Jewish Community Federation. The consists of a scrapbook of photographs
taken at a reception honoring the establishment of a professorship in honor of Zucker at the School of Applied Social Sciences.
