Smith Plantation Records, 1851-1852, consist of an inventory of stock and implements, daily record of events, and records of births and deaths of slaves on the plantation.</p><scopecontent><p>This collection will be useful to researchers studying the lives of slaves on the A. F. Smith Plantation in Princeton, Mississippi during the early 1850s.  Those studying the history of slavery and slavery conditions in America in general, and in the State of Mississippi specifically, during the antebellum period will find this collection useful.
