<bioghist encodinganalog="545"><head>History of Lincoln High School</head><p></p><bioghist><p>Lincoln High School (f. 1901) was named for former President Abraham Lincoln and built at Scranton Road and Castle Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio, when enrollment at West High School exceeded the facilities.  The first year enrollment of 474 pupils grew so that a new wing was added in 1922, just nine years before enrollment peaked at 4,020.
