 Abstract:  The Lorain Neighborhood House Association was a settlement house established in 1926, by Mary Haskell, in Lorain, Ohio, In 1969 it was renamed in honor of Sina K. Evans, resident head worker at the settlement from 1930 to 1964. The collection consists of minutes, board files, annual reports, club files, scrapbooks, and newspaper clippings, pertaining largely to the operation of the home as well as to several of the organizations it started or promoted, such as the Folk Arts Association and the Golden Agers Club.

 Abstract:  The Wheeling and Lake Erie Railroad Company Stockholder's Protective Committee was founded in Cleveland, Ohio, on November 1, 1911, by Clevelanders George Bishop, John Garfield, William Mather, J.R. Nutt, and John W. Platten, to devise a plan to end the receivership of the Wheeling & Lake Erie Railroad. The collection consists of correspondence and publications (bound in one volume), pertaining to the Committee's efforts to gain shares of stock, and to court cases against the Wabash-Pittsburgh Terminal Railway Company.

 Abstract:  Leonard Levy was a Cleveland, Ohio, attorney who became assistant police prosecutor (1922-1923) and city treasurer (1936-1966). He also served as foreman of the Cuyahoga County Grand Jury. He wrote numerous speeches and articles for the mayors under whom he served, as well as scripts for several radio programs such as "Safety First," "Your Town," and "You and Your Government."  Abstract:  The Cleveland Program for Sexual Learning was an extension program of the Program for Human Sexual Development at Harvard University. It was organized in the mid-1970s to develop a program to aid parents to discuss sexuality with their children, to produce a movie which would show parents how to discuss sexuality frankly with their children, and to start a community telephone service to answer questions about sexuality. The collection consists of pre-incorporation records, working files, correspondence, scholarly articles on sexuality, interview transcripts, and materials relating to the organization's research studies.
