It represented workers from Works Progress Administration projects throughout the United States. The Cuyahoga County Workers Alliance coordinated the WPA Cleveland Newspaper Digest Project and represented the interests of its workers. This project created "The Annals of Cleveland," a collection of newspaper article abstracts that documented the history of Cleveland, Ohio, from the 1818-1876.
