Jack arrived after his mother died during the flu epidemic and Sarah arrived from Omaha, Nebraska, when it was discovered her mother was dying. The couple married in 1933 and had two children: Richard and Judy. Later in life, the Formans were active members of the Jewish Orphan Home Alumni Association with Jack serving as the president for several years.
